2017 — 27th Annual Old Santee Canal Fine Arts Exhibition

Entrance to Old Santee Canal Park Interpretive Center

This year’s exhibition was a stunning collection of beautifully crafted works of fine art in six categories:  watercolor, oil, mixed media and collage, pencil and graphics, pastel, and acrylic. Best of Show came from the oil category this year.

Local sponsors and participating South Carolina artists representing the Midlands and the Lowcountry will be gathering at the Interpretive Center on Sunday evening, September 10, 2017, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 pm. to congratulate the winners at the annual reception.

Our judge this year, Katherine DuTremble, expressed her excitement in finding so many excellent paintings in the show as a whole.  She generously took time to make remarks about all the ribbon winners.  Click HERE to read and print the complete list of winners with her comments.

Due the Hurricane Irma, the park was closed on Friday, September 8, 2017.  The reception and awards ceremony were cancelled and the show was closed early.  The Reception Brochure is available for printing.  It has three parts:
