Interpretive Center
The Exhibition was held at the Old Santee Canal Park Interpretive Center in Moncks Corner, SC for two weeks beginning on the last week of August. This year we had 125 works of art from some of the best artists in eastern South Carolina.
Below are pictures of the Best In Show and the first place winners in each of six categories: Watercolor, Oils, Mixed Media/Collage, Pencil & Graphics, Pastels and Acrylics.
A few photos of the Reception follows those of the winners.
Our judge this year was Sandy Brindle of York, SC who has a long background of teaching, and involvement in the art community. Her artwork is found in corporate and private collections from California to Florida and in South Carolina State Parks where she was Artist in Residence in 2002. She currently has a gallery, a classroom and gift shop in Sharon, SC. Click HERE for her comments about the place winners.
